Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical care Float Pool ICU position with both day and night shifts and a requirement to float to all ICU units.

Details

• Position is in the ICU Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Float to all ICU units including CVICU, Neuro ICU, SICU, STU, and MICU as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio varies from 1:2-3 or 1:1 based on patient needs
• Schedule includes a mix of four 0700-1930 day shifts and six 1900-0730 night shifts with every other weekend required
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitoring equipment, EKGs, ventilators, iStats, Accu-check glucometer, waived testing, chest tubes, drains, and restraints

Requirements

• Active RN license for the State of Georgia or a multi-state compact license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least two years of critical care nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting, ventilators, and advanced patient monitoring equipment

Additional Information

• Three-day preceptor-based orientation to all ICUs is provided
• Expected to care for ICU patients and those awaiting transfer to intermediate or acute care
• Teamwork and communication with other staff are essential
• Documentation must be maintained according to established standards
• Navy blue scrubs are required
• A two-week notice may be given if needed
