American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position at a Level I trauma, teaching, and Magnet hospital, requiring BLS, ACLS, and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg unit at a large Level I trauma, teaching, and Magnet hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Requires four weekend shifts every four weeks
• Patient ratios are typically 4-5:1 depending on staffing
• Floating within scope may be required based on facility needs
• Uses Epic EMR system
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required prior to start
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Trauma experience preferred
• SSN and valid driver’s license required for consideration
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Pending licenses not accepted for start

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms required for scrubs
• Modules must be completed pre-start, averaging 4 hours
• Holiday and vacation requests exceeding 7 days or including holidays require facility approval
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• All team members may be assigned to emergency response during hurricane season (June-November)
• Parking permit available for a nominal registration fee
