American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS and skilled home care experience in the Pinellas County area.

Details

• Work in a home health setting serving patients in their residences
• Patient population includes general medical and high risk diagnoses such as HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Duties include post-op care, IV skills, wound care, cardiopulmonary assessment, and various procedures such as PICC/Midline dressing changes and SQ/IM injections
• Daily caseload of approximately 6-8 home health visits
• Day shifts with variable hours between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday or Thursday through Monday, with alternating weekends
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on HomeCare office needs
• Utilizes BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet for documentation; experience with these systems preferred

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BCLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year skilled home health experience including OASIS documentation—private duty experience alone is not accepted
• Proficiency in IV skills, wound care, and post-op care required
• Valid driver's license and a reliable car for home visits
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have a documented exemption
• Flu shot or declination required; mandatory mask wearing if not vaccinated

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing complex medical cases, administering infusion therapies, performing wound care, and operating medical equipment such as Pleurx and Asept drains
• Expected to use portable devices such as a laptop, MiFi, and portable printer provided by the office
• Solid color scrubs are required
• Schedules can be flexible to accommodate longer assignments beyond the minimum contract length
• Must be comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with the support team
