American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a primarily long-term care and inpatient float position, requiring 1 year of recent experience and active MN licensure.

Details

• Work in acute care and skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings with float coverage as needed
• Position is primarily in long-term care with occasional inpatient hospital float
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, with no call or weekends required
• May occasionally be the only OT on site at an LTC facility, with phone support available
• Typical hospital therapy caseload averages 30-40 patients; SNFs include 60-bed and 30-bed facilities
• EPIC EMR used in acute care; Casamba/NetHealth systems used in LTC environments

Requirements

• Current MN Occupational Therapy license or willingness to obtain (license required if applicable)
• Active BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years, with inpatient and SNF experience required
• Willingness to float to all assigned locations as needed
• Experience with EPIC charting system highly preferred

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat adult patients with a variety of diagnoses including general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, and neurological conditions
• Provide skilled therapy coverage at long-term care facilities as needed
• 1:1 training provided for documentation systems and departmental orientation
• Scrub dress code requires polo in ceil blue, khaki, gray, chocolate brown, or business casual attire
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted but at a reduced rate
• Returning clinicians must have at least a 6-month gap since their last Sanford Health assignment
