Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in a hospital float pool caring for pediatric patients
• Night shift with weekend and holiday coverage required
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Nurses will float between pediatric units based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact multistate RN license required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience is required
• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS (AHA only) required
• Basic computer skills are necessary

Additional Information

• Responsible for caring for a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Key responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications and IV therapy, and assisting with minor diagnostic procedures
• Effective communication skills and ability to address cultural and language needs of patients and families are essential
• Not open to local candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must be willing to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
