American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring NY licensure, cardiac cath lab expertise, and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Cath Lab setting
• Patient population includes adults requiring cardiac cath procedures and interventional radiology procedures
• Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 4x10 hour shifts
• On-call required with an average of 8-10 shifts per month including 1 full weekend
• Must have experience in both Cath Lab and IR Lab
• No local candidates accepted within 75 miles
• Scrubs are provided
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required, pending license not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab is required; IR-only experience not accepted
• Proficiency with interventional cardiac cath lab skills including stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, pacemaker/defibrillator lead procedures, and IABP/Impella use
• Experience with a variety of IR procedures such as liver biopsy, paracentesis, venous access, angiography, embolization, and dialysis graft work
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include assisting with cardiac and interventional radiology procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cases
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients as required

• RTO restrictions require time off requests to be limited to approximately one week
• Call off policy allows up to three called-off shifts per 13-week assignment; on-call placement in lieu of called off counts toward this limit
