American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift position in Maine, requiring a ME or compact RN license and critical care background.

Details

• Work in a hospital emergency department setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Care for a full spectrum of emergency cases, including patients in a dedicated Chest Pain Center

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience required
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Cannot have any previous employment with St. Mary’s
• Travelers with adverse actions on license or background will not be considered

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in all areas of the emergency department
• Duties include initial and ongoing assessments, administering IV medications, therapies, and blood products, and patient education
• Required to comprehensively document care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
• Separate pay rates may apply for local candidates
