Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring an active IL RN license and ICU expertise.

Details

• Position is based in the intensive care units of a hospital, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week from 7:00am to 7:30pm
• Every other weekend scheduling is required
• Mandatory floating to all ICU units and, if needed, to medical-surgical units within the facility
• Cerner is used for charting and electronic medical records
• Orientation and precepting occur on the day shift during the first week

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of consideration; pending license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are eligible and preferred

Additional Information

• Team-based nursing is used if floated outside of primary competency area
• Strict compliance with lab work requirements after offer acceptance
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no time off on weekends or around holidays
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
• Any color scrubs permitted; scrubs are not provided
• Holiday time off is not allowed, and calling out on a holiday may lead to contract cancellation
