Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and an active VT or compact RN license.

Details

• Rural critical access hospital emergency department setting
• 9-bed ED with a volume of over 15,000 patients per year and currently undergoing an expansion
• Night shift schedule: 7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VT or compact multi-state RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of ED/ER RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC preferred but not required
• Ability to learn Meditech EMR quickly is required
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced rural emergency department, evaluating outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management
• The facility is located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom region — a rural area with no public transportation; the closest airport is approximately 2 hours away
• Travelers begin their assignment on Wednesdays
