American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience and an OH or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Position is in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a children's hospital
• Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Floating is required and may include NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and med/surg units as needed
• Patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular cases such as congenital heart disease/repair, post-cardiac surgery, and post-cardiac catheterization

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience in a pediatric hospital — this is a hard stop requirement
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and IV therapy
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and central line blood draws
• Experience with ventilator management, intubation assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• Preferred skills include ECMO, CRRT, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management
• 2 supervisory/manager-titled references required for consideration (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
