American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience, cardiac telemetry skills, and Epic proficiency for night shifts in a community hospital setting.

Details

• Telemetry unit in a community hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population including pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, and cardiac surgery patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Performs cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management, central line care and management, and IV therapy
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Floating to like units may be required
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates
• Two professional references required for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and SSN card copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Preferred skills include pacemaker management, TAVR, TR Band, heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, chest tubes, HFNC, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 2 years before being eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a modified pay rate
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Lab work must be scheduled within 2 days of signing and completed within 2 weeks of signing
• Charge nurse experience is preferred
