American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown Neurology position requiring a current CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of strong recent PCU experience, working 12-hour night shifts.

Details

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown Neurology setting within a hospital environment
• Neurological and progressive care patient population requiring telemetry/stepdown monitoring
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of strong, recent PCU/progressive care experience required
• Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, from a leadership role (Nurse Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse), covering the last year of employment
• 7-year employment history required, including facility names, specialties, and dates worked (gaps over 30 days must be explained)
• Current skills checklist required (valid within one year)
• Preferred: prior travel experience, PCCN, CNRN, EKG class, and Epic EMR experience

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered as local candidates
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Candidates on a temporary or provisional license must disclose this status
