American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float CVICU Rapid Response position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of CVICU experience and proficiency with ECMO and LVAD on night shifts.

Details

• CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) setting within a large hospital system
• Rapid response float role covering CVICU, cardiac step-down/progressive care (E4), and cath lab recovery
• Patient care includes cases requiring ECMO, LVAD, and cath lab recovery
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (19:00–07:00)
• 8-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or relevant cardiovascular nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for CVICU RNs
• Proficiency with ECMO, LVAD, and cath lab recovery required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Float role covering cardiovascular ICU, cardiac step-down/progressive care, and cath lab recovery areas
• Orientation consists of a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour on-unit shift
• RNs are required to wear all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white scrubs
• No time-off requests or special scheduling will be accommodated
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Tobacco use is prohibited in all buildings, entrances, and campus properties, including personal vehicles in campus parking
