Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 255-bed acute care hospital
• Patient population includes adult patients with cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and other acute medical conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other Saturday required; Sundays off
• Charting performed using Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — VA or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

• Responsible for the coordination of direct patient care and patient education
