Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day-shift travel contract in a primary trauma and stroke unit, requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and an active FL or Compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting serving as a primary trauma and stroke unit
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required (all must be in hand): BLS and ACLS via AHA, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute and chronically ill patients
• Trauma and Neuro ICU experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited school, or a degree from a Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)-approved institution plus 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment (pass/fail)
• Proof of vaccination status required; declinations are not accepted

Additional Information

• Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience are preferred
• This is a smoke-free facility
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but qualify for a local pay rate rather than the travel rate
• A Basic Arrhythmia assessment is required for this ICU position; candidates who do not score 100% on the lethal rhythm section may be given the opportunity to retake a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours, and must achieve an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
