American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager for a Med/Surg leadership role requiring a BSN, active MA RN license, and a minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience.

Details

• Works in a hospital-based medical/surgical unit and Joint Center
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Uses Epic for charting
• Holds 24/7 accountability for staff and nursing students participating in the program

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BSN from an accredited nursing school required
• Minimum 3–5 years of current clinical experience required
• Previous supervisory experience in a Med/Surg setting required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, team building, collaboration, negotiation, and communication skills required
• MSN or current matriculation in an MSN program preferred
• Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader or in Nursing Administration preferred
• Experience developing a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) or similar nursing/hospital collaborative program preferred
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations of the medical/surgical units and Joint Center using a multidisciplinary team approach
• Organizes and directs nursing unit staff to ensure effective care delivery and quality standards are met
• Supports the professional development of nurses, nursing students, and staff while maintaining a positive patient experience
• Reports to the Clinical Director of Medical/Surgical Services
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and will receive a reduced travel pay rate
• Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
