American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neurosciences (Neuro/Stroke) unit position requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Works on a Neurosciences floor in a hospital setting treating stroke, neuro, orthopedic, and spine patients
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week (48 hours/week)
• May be required to precept other staff and work in a virtual care room
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Stroke experience and NIHSS certification are preferred
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, assisting with minor diagnostic procedures, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Involves patient and family education around care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• BSN from a board-approved program preferred
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may complete one extension for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before a subsequent contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
