American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU/Stepdown position in Alabama, requiring strong cardiac monitoring experience and the ability to work every other weekend on night shifts.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac and telemetry monitoring cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to float to Med/Surg units
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Prior experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown settings required

Requirements

• Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Ability to start IVs, manage Heparin protocols, and manage cardiac drips (no titration) required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are considered; local candidates are subject to a reduced pay rate
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of contract confirmation — no RTO will be approved after the contract is confirmed
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once the contract is confirmed
• Scheduling accommodations around other per diem schedules or contracts are not available
