American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Pediatrics for a small community hospital pediatric unit in Massachusetts, requiring 3 years of pediatric experience and active MA RN licensure.

Details

• Small community hospital pediatric unit — not a PICU — with a maximum census of 3 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Floating required to Med/Surg or Post-Partum as needed
• Adult Med/Surg experience preferred for floating purposes
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of current pediatric RN experience required
• Adult Med/Surg experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Unit is supported by Family Birthplace staff, respiratory therapists, and IV therapists; travelers are issued a security badge with a panic button for immediate assistance
• RTO must be requested upfront — requests submitted after the initial profile will not be approved, and no more than 3 days of RTO will be considered
• Only one holiday may be approved for this assignment
• First-time travelers are not encouraged given the high-reliability expectations of this small, single-nurse unit
