American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a Level IV Trauma Center in West Allis, WI, requiring at least 2 years of IR experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit at a 277-bed Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Level III NICU facility in West Allis, WI
• Unit consists of 1 holding room (2-patient capacity) and 2 IR suites
• Patient population includes line placements, drains, guided biopsies, vascular work, carotid stents, angiograms, and AAA repair
• 1:1 patient ratio
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with flexible start times of 0700, 0730, or 0800 (8- or 9-hour shifts considered)
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation every 6th weekend
• On-call required: one weeknight call shift per week and one weekend every 6th weekend with a 30-minute response time
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• Ability to transport inpatient/perform handoffs, administer sedation medications, manage pre/post recoveries, circulate, perform discharge follow-up calls, and coordinate/schedule orders
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN collected within the last year
• Must provide middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

• Support staff includes an IR Aid/Transporter, Charge RN/Lead Tech, management, Respiratory Therapy, and Hospitalists
• Orientation includes facility NEO and at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
• Holiday coverage is on-call only
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking available in the East parking structure (3rd floor or higher)
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply
• First-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
