American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an MS/Tele position requiring 2+ years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and a mandatory EKG exam for a 13-week night shift contract in North Carolina.

Details

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a larger health system campus
• Specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including post-stroke, aneurysm, post-op surgical, CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required between all health system campuses as needed
• Epic EMR — experience is mandatory
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• Skills required include interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, patient health questionnaire/history/allergies, and vital signs assessment
• Skills required include dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup, phlebotomy, specimen labeling and collection (capillary, throat, urine UA clean catch)
• Skills required include telephone triage and pharmacy/refill request management
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
