Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit with a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a mandatory EKG exam requirement during onboarding.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes general medical/surgical, observation, respiratory, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, and diabetic patients
• Unit is tele-capable; all RNs are required to pass an EKG exam regardless of specialty
• Epic EMR — experience is mandatory
• Schedule: nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
• Floating across facilities may be required for all travelers
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
• Prior Charge RN experience is preferred
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
