American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, Level 1 facility background, and AHA-issued certifications.

Details

• Pediatric ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 facility experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of pediatric patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures, and monitors physiological data with appropriate intervention
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to reapply
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must be completed by the required deadline
