Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP skills and the ability to circulate in C-section deliveries, working night or day 12-hour shifts.

Details

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Patient population includes laboring patients, vaginal delivery, and C-section cases
• Responsibilities include vaginal exams, vaginal deliveries, and circulating in C-section deliveries
• 13-week contract
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM and Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Experience with IV insertion and venipuncture
• Ability to recognize and respond to obstetric complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy

Additional Information

• Perform vaginal exams and assist with vaginal deliveries
• Circulate in C-section deliveries
• Assist with newborn stabilization post-delivery using NRP skills
• All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
