American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring the ability to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases.

Details

• CVOR unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 1,500+ beds
• Cardiovascular OR cases requiring independent scrubbing and circulating of cardiac surgeries
• Average patient ratio of 1:2
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week comprised of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts
• Shift times are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 10:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Two 24-hour on-call shifts required per schedule period, with call windows of either 7 PM–11 PM or 7 PM–7 AM (Monday–Friday), plus one late-stay availability per week
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Parking available at $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license accepted for consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
• Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
• Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as directed by the facility
• This is a large academic medical center; candidates should have relevant experience at a comparable high-acuity institution
