Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Chesapeake, VA, requiring prior travel nursing experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 13-week contract located in the Chesapeake, VA area, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk
• Med/Surg unit with a renal and diabetic patient focus (5 West)
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 4x12-hour shift schedule available as an alternative — please indicate your preference at time of consideration
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• IV insertion and telemetry interpretation skills required
• Clean license and background — no prior hits will be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
