American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 26-week travel contract at a Level III/IV NICU facility in Portland, ME, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a rotating day/night shift schedule.

Details

• Level III/IV NICU with 51 beds across multiple physical locations, including a 20-bed Level II NICU and a 10-bed Level II NICU satellite
• Rotating day/night shift schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• 26-week contract
• Float requirement: candidates may be asked to float between facilities within a 25-mile radius

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide neonatal nursing care across a high-census, high-acuity NICU environment spanning multiple physical locations
• Orientation period of approximately 2–3 days before assuming independent patient assignments
• Candidates who have worked at any facility within this health system in the past 12 months must disclose this history
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted for this position
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any facility within this health system (including residents of Maine or New Hampshire) will be considered local and are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited
