American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool (Labor Pool) position at an acute care hospital in Albany, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus and a 124-bed north campus
• Labor Pool unit floating across Med/Surg, Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
• Med/Surg unit typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6; CNA support available at approximately 1:8–1:10
• Telemetry monitoring available across various units
• Ventilator equipment available includes BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Dräger (used during night/HS hours)
• RT, pharmacy, OB, and neonatology services available 24/7; IV/PICC team on site
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• 12-hour night shifts, 0645 start time, on a Thursday–Sunday blocked schedule
• Every other weekend requirement
• Low census on-call required
• Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff
• Floating within and across units required; must be flexible with changing assignments during a shift
• Floor-specific orientation provided (16 orientation hours)

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications for Med/Surg: BLS and NIHSS (ACLS also listed for ICU/ED float assignments)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment, or 4 years of RN experience without travel experience
• MEDITECH EMR experience preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Must not have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Must be flexible with changing unit assignments during a shift

• The facility tracks hand sanitizer usage via badges issued to all personnel; badges must be returned at the end of the assignment
