Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stroke Progressive Care Unit position requiring PCU or telemetry experience, working night shifts with weekend and holiday requirements.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focused on stroke patients in a hospital setting
• Possibility of floating to other PCUs within the facility as needed
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 5–6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration — license must be clear of any hits
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Progressive Care, Med/Surg Acute Care, or Telemetry experience required
• EKG experience required
• Neuro/stroke experience preferred; ICU experience is a plus
• Two supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a travel nurse
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
