American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring discharge planning experience, Epic proficiency, and availability for every other weekend shifts.

Details

• Works across all areas of a 571-bed Level II Trauma Center, including two campuses located less than 2 miles apart
• Case Management unit focused on care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
• Patient caseload ratio of 1:25–30
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:30–16:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required across all areas of the hospital and both campuses
• Charting system: Epic (required)
• Parking is facility-paid

Requirements

• Active WA RN or Compact RN license; pending license accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Discharge planning and care coordination experience required
• Diverse case management experience preferred, particularly in Med/Surg, LLOS, and ED settings
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred experience in ED and ICU settings
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, discharge planning, care coordination, and CMS/regulatory compliance
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Scrubs: any color permitted except reddish-orange
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
