American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring acute care and discharge planning experience, with Epic proficiency and WA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work setting is a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across two campuses
• Case Management unit with responsibilities spanning all areas of the hospital
• Patient caseload ratio of 1:25–30
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:30–16:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required throughout the hospital, including between two campuses less than 2 miles apart
• Epic EMR experience required
• Parking is facility paid

Requirements

• Active WA RN or compact RN license required (must be in hand at time of consideration)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Discharge planning and care coordination experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Strong preference for candidates with diverse case management experience across Med/Surg, long length of stay (LLOS), and ED settings
• ED and ICU experience preferred
• WA RN or compact RN license required (pending license not accepted)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care development, and CMS/regulatory compliance
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Scrub color is open (no reddish-orange permitted)
