Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency, with a pass/fail EKG exam required during onboarding.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population is primarily Medical/Surgical, including observation, respiratory, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical patients
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
• Floating across facilities may be required
• EMR: Epic (mandatory experience)

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• A driver's license copy is required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Unit is posted as MS/Tele due to the EKG requirement, but the primary patient population is Medical/Surgical
• Previous Charge RN experience is preferred
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
