American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Case Management position at a Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient case management experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient case management unit within a 375-bed Level III Trauma Center
• Adult patient population only; no pediatric, L&D, or NICU cases
• Covers ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, and ER patient caseloads
• Caseload ratio of approximately 1:15–20
• Epic EMR experience required
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts per week, with every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact license recognized in WA
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute inpatient case management experience required
• Minimum 4 years of overall nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Healthcare financial and reimbursement knowledge required
• ER and Utilization Review experience preferred
• Candidates whose experience is predominantly in children's hospitals will not be considered
• At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second reference will be required prior to start

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include post-discharge planning and connecting patients with community resources
• Supported by leadership, peer case managers, and CM Assistants
• Orientation is approximately 1–3 days; candidates should expect to begin patient interventions on day one, paired with an experienced case manager RN
• Business casual dress code; scrubs are not worn

• At least one holiday shift is required; additional holidays may be picked up voluntarily
• All RTO must be requested upfront through the manager
• Travelers may pick up additional shifts at other system facilities if desired
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• COVID vaccination is required for this position
