American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby position requiring high-risk OB experience, MI licensure, and NRP certification for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• Inpatient hospital Mother Baby unit setting
• High-risk mothers and babies patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby RN experience required
• Prior experience at a high-risk OB facility required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Strong documentation skills required
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and care team members required
• COVID vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient and family care
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start, typically one week in advance, with a passing score required
• Any time-off requests submitted after an offer is made will need to be discussed with management once the assignment begins
