Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel position requiring prior PCU experience, ACLS certification, and night shift availability in Tennessee.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hybrid unit setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team (RRT), and supervisor support available on all units

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PCU experience is required for this role
• First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience will be considered
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the hospital's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular clinical duties
• AHA-issued certifications only — no other BLS/ACLS providers accepted
