Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a hybrid MS/Tele unit requiring prior PCU experience, AHA certifications, and night shift availability.

Details

• Works on a hybrid MS/Tele (Progressive Care) unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team (RRT), and supervisor support available on all units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued only
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience is required for this hybrid role
• First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience will be considered
• Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
