Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hybrid MS/Tele unit position requiring prior PCU experience and AHA certifications, with night shift scheduling and rotating weekends.

Details

• Hybrid Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit in a hospital setting
• Level 1 trauma center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
• 36-hour weekly work commitment
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team (RRT), and supervisor support available on all units

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior PCU experience is required for this hybrid unit role
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience will be considered
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student education and clinical learning alongside their regular patient care duties
• 13-week contract
