American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position at a high-acuity quaternary teaching hospital, requiring active NJ or Compact licensure and cardiovascular surgical experience including open-heart and hybrid OR cases.

Details

• 13-week travel contract in a high-volume CVOR and hybrid OR suite at a nationally recognized quaternary teaching hospital
• Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Cardiovascular procedures include valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, aortic dissection, and VATs
• Vascular procedures include endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Circulating role required; scrubbing preferred
• On-call requirement includes one weekend per month (24-hour on-call Saturday and Sunday) and two weekday on-call shifts of 8 hours each (3–11 PM or 11 PM–7 AM)
• Floating required to the main OR for primarily orthopedic and general surgery cases, as well as laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgery
• Holiday coverage required (1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Hospital-provided scrubs

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2.5 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• Experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures in a hybrid OR setting required
• Some degree of transplant experience required; cardiac, lung, and/or kidney transplant experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• This facility is a 665-bed quaternary teaching hospital affiliated with a major university medical school and home to one of the nation's largest and most established heart transplant centers
• The CVOR is supported by highly specialized multidisciplinary teams utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a fast-paced, clinically advanced environment
• Former employees of the RWJBarnabas Health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
