American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU (nights) position at a large Level I Trauma Center, requiring critical care experience with PA catheters and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 1,500+ staffed beds at a Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center
• Cardiac ICU unit
• Average patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Floating required to ICU and PCU
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic
• Parking available at approximately $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required; candidates with 1.5 years of experience must have it from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital
• Critical care experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters required
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
• Nursing license must be free of prior disciplinary actions
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions will be considered
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility during the assignment
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities if needed
