American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience in a similarly sized facility and the ability to manage complex cardiac patients on night shift.

Details

• 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Cardiac patient population including STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiac surgery (CTS), and chest pain (C/P) cases
• Cardiac drip management required, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
• Patient ratio of 1:3–4
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (GA) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or IMCU experience in a similarly sized facility
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume hospital environment with complex and diverse cases required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced clinical situations

Additional Information

• Manage cardiac patients requiring continuous monitoring and vasoactive/inotropic drip titration
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Travelers are expected to work approximately 4 weekend shifts per month
