American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position at an academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring hands-on experience with CABG, ECMO, AVR, and MVR procedures.

• Work setting is a 356-bed non-profit, academic and research medical center providing tertiary care in St. Louis, MO
• Assigned to the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) with floating to the General OR when CVOR case volume is low
• Experience with CABG, ECMO, AVR, and MVR procedures is a core part of the role
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:30–19:00 (5x8-hour day shifts)
• Weekday and weekend call required, with approximately 14 call shifts per month split among the CV team
• No weekend shift requirement outside of call obligations

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; NBSTSA certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
• Hands-on experience with CABG, ECMO, AVR, and MVR procedures required
• General surgery OR experience preferred in addition to CVOR background
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform scrub or circulating duties for cardiovascular surgical cases including open-heart procedures
• Float to General OR as needed when cardiovascular case volume is low
