Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, ACLS, and prior neurology/stroke patient experience for a night shift role in Coastal Virginia.

Details

• 13-week contract on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit with possibility of extension
• Night shift: 7p–7:30a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 4x12 schedule also available — indicate shift preference when applying
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; prior travel experience required
• Epic proficiency required — no exceptions
• Demonstrated skills required: IV insertion and telemetry interpretation
• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Clean license and background — no prior license or background hits will be considered

• Position is located in Chesapeake, VA — part of the 'Coastal Virginia' area, just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk
• All requested time off (RTO) must be declared at the time of submission
