American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Resource Pool (Float) Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency and a NY RN license.

Details

• Resource pool/float pool position within a hospital setting
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with responsibility for ED hold patients
• 12-hour night shifts
• Monday through Sunday scheduling; no block schedules
• Minimum every other weekend requirement, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required; proof of pending NY license will be considered
• VT RN license not required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Reliable personal transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in this area

Additional Information

• Float pool role covering Med/Surg Telemetry, including care of ED hold patients
• Candidates must have all employment gaps of 90+ days explained in their work history
• Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
• This is a 4-week contract
