American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor Pool Med/Surg position in Albany, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus and 124-bed north campus
• Labor pool unit supporting Med/Surg with floating to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6; CNA support available at approximately 1:8–1:10
• 12-hour shifts beginning at 0645
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call low census required
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• Floating required; must be flexible with changing unit assignments during the shift
• Telemetry monitored across different units
• Ventilator equipment on site includes BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger (used at HS only)
• PICC line access available; no dedicated IV team
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• Charting performed in MEDITECH

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; NIHSS required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• Floor-specific orientation provided (16 hours)
• Hand hygiene compliance is actively tracked using badge technology upon entering and exiting patient rooms
• Time off requests and specific scheduling preferences are only honored if included at the time of initial assignment confirmation
