American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a Medical Oncology and Hematology Infusion position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring at least two years of infusion experience and an active IL RN license.

• Oncology Infusion unit within a Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Medical Oncology and Hematology patient population
• Infusion center with 32 chairs; procedures include blood administration, chemotherapy, IV fluids, and immunotherapy
• Fast track area with 4 chairs; procedures include port draws, injections, dressing changes, quick assessments, and EKGs
• Assignment to fast track vs. infusion room may vary based on oncology experience
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating within service line and scope required to meet facility needs
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification and OCN certification preferred
• Oncology certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required before returning
