American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in California, requiring 2 years of recent OR circulating experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Community hospital operating room setting
• Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, with start times of 6:45 AM or 8:30 AM depending on assignment
• On-call is required, including overnight weekday call, 24-hour weekend call, and 24-hour holiday call
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System used in robotic procedures

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS — all must be AHA or American Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulating experience in a community hospital or Trauma Level II facility
• Circulating experience required across multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery
• Conscious sedation experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the past year required for consideration
• 7-year work history verification required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing individualized nursing care using the nursing process, with applied knowledge of pharmacology, nursing assessment parameters, and standards of care
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; local candidates residing within 50 miles are accepted but at a local rate
