American Traveler is seeking an experienced Urology Clinic RN with strong catheterization skills and Epic proficiency for an outpatient clinic assignment in Oregon.

Details

• Outpatient urology clinic setting
• Patient diagnoses include prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, and penile cancers, as well as BPH, erectile dysfunction, renal calculus, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, urinary retention, male UTI, circumcision, and undescended testicles
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required
• Charting system: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Strong urological catheterization skills required, including routine male and female catheterization and suprapubic catheter changes
• Epic EMR experience required
• ONC (Oncology Nursing Certification) preferred but not required
• 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, vital signs, medication administration (IM and subcutaneous), specimen collection, telephone triage, patient teaching, and assisting with procedures
• Skills in sterile/aseptic procedure setup, suture removal, dressing changes, urine dipstick/urinalysis, and medication reconciliation are relevant to this role
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; former permanent staff must also wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage required — must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be approved
• Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in contract termination
