American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 5 years of L&D experience at a Level 1 trauma facility and a minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current certifications required (must be from AHA): BLS, ACLS, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience at a Level 1 trauma facility
• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Full date of birth (DOB) and full SSN required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing and managing an assigned group of L&D patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and communicates care plans to patients and families
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff and coordinates referrals based on patient care needs
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a new contract after that
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of the offer — start dates will not be adjusted for compliance delays
