American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a High Risk Antepartum position in an OB Special Care Unit, requiring antepartum or L&D experience and key certifications including Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP, BLS, and ACLS.

Details

• Work in an OB Special Care Unit (High Risk Antepartum) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes high-risk antepartum cases requiring specialized monitoring and care
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK State Board of Nursing or eNLC Compact) currently in hand
• Required certifications (all from the American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in antepartum or L&D, postpartum, and newborn care
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Collaborates with patients, families, and care teams to communicate care plans and hospital procedures, including discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Previous travelers who have worked at this facility are eligible to extend once, for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning a new contract thereafter
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) is strictly enforced — non-compliance may result in cancellation
