American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring strong labor nursing skills, C-section circulating ability, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, operating as an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit
• Patient population includes laboring patients, high-risk/antepartum cases, and postpartum care
• Must be able to independently circulate C-sections
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Occasional floating to NICU in a helping hands capacity may be required

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required — no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and ACLS
• Must be proficient in independent C-section circulation
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Primary focus of the role is labor nursing, with additional exposure to high-risk/antepartum and postpartum patients
• Scrub color required: Seal Blue
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from all facility locations to be eligible
• RTO requests are considered on a per-contract basis
• On-site parking is provided at no cost
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but the unit will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests
